I generally prefer to enter into fractional arrangements with companies that are an inflection point. Perhaps they never had a product management practice, or they need to rebuild the product function, or hire their first full-time product leader. In cases like this, a fractional product leader can help set the stage for the eventual full-time leader to come in (and help to hire them!)
